News From The Front!

Website update:

So I guess we could have been updating the old site while the new one was being finished but, we didn't.  The new, official site is a few days away from completion and with it will bring big changes and cool features.  You will be able to meet the team, email team members directly, watch cool videos and buy junk from our crappy store.  That is just for starters.  We have some surprises instore for 2006.  Keep checking back, Overkill is coming through!

Overkill has been asked to stand down.  The Northeast SPPL was cancelled due to a lack of interest.  Only one other team paid the registration fee and were ready to play.  We as well as the other team and Spec Ops are greatly disappointed.  Hopefully next year there will be a better turn out so we can have our chance to show what we can do.

Overkill will be competing in the Northeast Regional SPPL tounament.  We are really looking forward to this event and hope to make a very good showing.  Thanks to Spec Ops for putting on this game.  I just hope they realize that with a 10,000 round per game rule, when we run out of ammo we are gonna start throwing guns.  I hope the refs are in good shape.

Overkill has returned from Michigan Monster Game at Hell Survivors in Pickney, Michigan.  Upon arrival to the game, we decided to join the red team.  Unknow to us at the time, red team was grossly out numbered.  Unconfired reports indicate a 3:1 inbalance.  Dispite our best efforts, the red team got the snot pounded out of us.  Eliminations came moments after insertion as the yellow team over ran the field.  Overkill popped as much smoke as we could muster and shot every ball we had.  We just couldn't shoot enough yellow.  New radios allowed us to stay in full field communication.  This should be of great help on future missions.  We will adapt and over come.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!

Allied forces were victorious in the struggle against the German army.  Overkill and Wetworks lead the 1st Batt. Rangers to roll over the German forces holding Firebase Charlie and the airfield during the Saturday game at Oklahoma D-Day.  The rangers took Charlie 45 minutes after game on and held it until leaving it in the hands of the 101st Airborne.  Ranger squads lead by Overkill pushed through the woods on either side of the airfield on a steady drive to Bravo.  Half the airfield had fallen before weather conditions rendered ammunition almost useless and the team pulled out for lunch.  At 1600 hrs Overkill reinserted at the north side of the Atlantic wall and cleared all enemy troops up to Firebase Alpha.  The game was then called for the afternoon, though it is rumored that Psycho chased any Germans he could find all the way to Charlie.

When the night game started, Overkill took a squad led by Raven and Airwolf behind Firebase Bravo to barrel tap 36 Germans before being spotted, it is unknown how many of the enemy were taken out in the ensuing fire fight.  As the assault squad was coming up on Bravo, Psycho, Jew and Karpet began leading suicide runs from Alpha to the German front lines.  Five pushes yielded nearly 100% casualty rate for those running, but the allied front moved up to meet the Germans and hold Firebase Alpha to win the game.

Thanks to all the allies that ran with Overkill.  It was a pleasure serving with all of you and we are proud to fight with you.  We could not believe the amount of allies ready and willing to run head long into enemy lines to help hold Alpha.  All of your heart paid off and we have been rewarded with victory.  We look forward to serving with you in the future.  Good game to all the Germans, we couldn’t have had so much fun with out you.

Overkill will be joining the allied forces as 1st Batt. Rangers at Oklahoma D-Day.  If the Germans are smart, they will stay in thier sleeping bags Saturday morning.  You have been warned.
